About Mee

I’m Aimee Royer, a life and relationship coach, former mental health counselor, and host of the podcast Hard Truths.

My work centers on personal growth, emotional honesty, relational patterns, and meaningful change. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, received extensive supervision in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and completed advanced training in Ontological Coaching through Newfield Network.

Before launching my independent coaching and consulting practice in 2021, I spent several years working in the mental health field. That experience continues to shape how I approach coaching today: with depth, discernment, compassion, and a strong respect for the complexity of being human.

In my coaching practice, I work with individuals and relationship pairs - including romantic, familial, and professional relationships - to help them navigate transitions, strengthen communication, identify emotional patterns, and make more intentional choices. My approach draws from Rational Emotive Behavior Coaching (REBC), ontological coaching, mindfulness-based practices, communication frameworks, and practical behavior change strategies.

I also host Hard Truths, a podcast about love, relationships, self-deception, emotional patterns, and personal growth. The podcast reflects the same grounded, honest approach I bring into my coaching work: less fantasy, more truth, better love, and more responsibility without shame.

I offer in-person sessions in West Peoria, Illinois, as well as virtual coaching to clients across the U.S. through secure, HIPAA-compliant video software. Whether we meet in person or online, our work together centers on presence, reflection, emotional safety, and sustainable growth.

My coaching is integrative and whole-person focused. I blend cognitive, behavioral, relational, and somatic strategies to support resilience, self-trust, identity shifts, clearer communication, and more intentional ways of living and relating. I also create structured coaching tools, guided pathways, and reflective resources to make personal and relational growth more accessible and engaging.

Whether you’re looking to deepen self-trust, strengthen your relationships, understand your patterns, or move through a meaningful life transition, I offer a grounded and affirming space to help you move forward with more clarity, honesty, and confidence.
